Although it is home to a major ...Read More ore shipping industry, it is also a beautiful lakeside city with a sea side feel. Located on the southwestern corner of Lake Superior, the largest of the great Lakes, Duluth is loaded with recreational opportunities and other fun things to do and see.

Duluth is home to a great area of shops, restaurants and nightlife right on Lake Superior, Canal Park. It also hosts the Great Lakes Aquarium, a major zoo, a casino, sightseeing cruises and so much more. Due to its location, it is also the entry point to the North Shore recreational region as well as being conveniently sited for those looking to explore the Iron Range. Duluth also offers tours of a historical ore ship and of an operating paper mill.

Although not a large city (86,000 residents), Duluth has every convenience that a traveler would need. It is a great place to spend a weekend, or even an entire week. Read Less
