Steer Clear of Doraville, GA 1.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) Maybe it's because Doraville is located in Georgia, which is known to be a pretty great place, but I foolishly made the assumption that the town would be a nice place to live without checking it out thoroughly first. That was my mistake. After living in Doraville for 15 months I ...Read More had to get out. I have never seen a town without a single good quality, but that is the case there. While you would think its location would make it one of the best areas in the state, the exact opposite is true. With very bad schools, a horribly high crime rate communities that are being left to become rundown and shabby, there's just no reason to stay in a place like Doraville.

I did find a few interesting things to do and sights to see while I was there including the Viking Alchemist Winery tour, the very interesting Biplane Rides Over Atlanta, ATL Cruzers which are food, bicycle, and historic tours, and the Stone Summit Climbing and Fitness Center.

My best advice to anyone looking to move to Georgia is to make a wide berth around Doraville and find one of the really nice places that Georgia is chock full of. Read Less
