When the cost of living in New York City just seems to have no limits, I’ve found a lot of my friends moving out to find a place that fits a reasonable budget. Dix Hills is that place. It’s great for families, a ...Read More nd the school system is also great from what I’ve heard. They implement a STEAM-based curriculum, which goes well with the time. If I had kids, this would be a great place to raise them, while still having access to the city.

Now, I love New York so much. There is no city like it in the world, and from Dix Hills, it’s usually about a 40 minute to an hour commute into the city. I still have to commute for work, so this was something that made Dix Hills very attractive to me. Beyond that, there’s not much here, it’s really a residential town with no room for a nightlife or entertainment. The cities for that, I guess. Read Less
