This neighborhood is incredible. The people here are beyond amazing neighbors, I can name the people who live in every house 10 homes in every direction. They look out for you, are there to help when needed, and enjoy spending time with each other on a weekly basis. We do not hav ...Read More
e a week go by where we're not spending an evening at at least 1 neighbors home or going out to eat as a block group. You could not find a better community to live in in this State. The University District is absolutely the best place we have ever lived and I cannot imagine ever leaving now.

trict are misleading to a person, not familiar with Detroit, reviewing your website. The majority of the residents are college-educated and take pride in raising their children in the neighborhood. The neighborhood has attracted new residents the past several years. When a person not familiar with Detroit takes a look at your website, they would believe that crime is bad and children do not graduate from high school, when the opposite is true. More than 90% of school age children in the University District graduate from high school and at least 80% of those children go to college after high-school graduation. I find it interesting that neighborhoods in cities like Chicago, New York, Los Angeles are graded based on what occurs within the boundaries of those neighborhoods and not based on what negative things occur in unsafe neighborhoods in other parts of those cities. (I've visited all those cities). Maybe, whoever comes up with your grading/rating system should find out whats happening in Detroit by visiting the website 'Curbed Detroit'.
