Wouldn't recommend it. User Rating 0.5 rating By anonymous ( Jul 06, 2020) This neighborhood is full of cliquey, entitled, bored housewives complaining about the Au Pair living in their basement raising their kids. They sneer and passive aggressively live their lives doing nothing but filling their calendars with eyelash makeovers, refilling hair extens ...Read More ions, botox appointments and thrice weekly bikini waxes. They spend their days selling used LuluLemon yoga pants and Tory Burch ballet flats on the neighborhood networking site or complaining that someone left their Amazon delivery too far from the front door and that driver should know better. They neurotically watch their front porch through their Ring doorbell surveillance app.
This "woke" neighborhood now is so ENERGIZED that they are renaming the neighborhood! Something to FEEL GOOD about, something to CONTRIBUTE TO! Something to swing through the drive through Starbucks on their way to the boutique Barre class and complain about to their equally entitled, neurotic, cliquey frenemies.
There is no way these homes will continue to gain in value and the only people who will profit from the insane escalation in home prices are the ones who bought 10 years ago.
This is a bubble that will burst. The older homes are mostly KB Home 2X4 construction. These homes are awful production houses built on cracking slabs over swelling soil on the site of an old airport and all the toxicity that brings and priced at $500,000 for around 1500 square feet. Buyer beware, indeed.
I am told the midwest is full of friendly, engaging people. This place is a 20,000 place of vacuous women and oblivious men. Their kids are doing drugs, self harming, having sex and committing petty crimes. Read Less
Not worth it User Rating 2 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 10, 2019) It’s ok if your kids are little and with you all the time. But with the amount of crime going on at night around here, I’ll be long gone before my kids are teenagers running around Stapleton. I feel bad for the new people who don’t know and let their teens out at 9:30,10:00 ...Read More at night and they get robbed in the park at gunpoint. I don’t let my kids ride their bikes around alone outside. Some parents do.

Lots of petty theft. Can’t turn your back for a second and you have things stolen from the garage or worse intruders in your home.
People turn a blind eye, don’t want to be proactive when suspicious activity is happening right in front of their eyes, because they’re crucified on the community pages for being racist, profiling people, etc. It’s ridiculous. So, the crime continues and people wake up to thefts, intrusions, and yet another community post about ‘did anyone catch anything on a camera’? No. Never. And it happens again.

Also, gunshots. Gunshots all the time. Sometimes through a wall, sometimes nobody knows where they went. But yeah, totally unsafe.

Positives: Great location. Good schools. Cute houses. Doesn’t feel like suburbia. Which is great in some aspects, not so great in others. Fun community events, I just don’t think I’d attend the ones held at night.

Overall, I’d say you’d be crazy to spend upwards of $1 mil to live here. Read Less
