De Pere, WI: Life in a Northern Town User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) De Pere, Wisconsin is a beautiful city located just outside of Green Bay. De Pere is known for being a clean and safe community that has a good police presence and low crime rate. The city is home to St. Norbert College and as well has an excellent public school system. The shopp ...Read More ing and nightlife in De Pere is very good, especially considering it is only a suburb of the larger nearby city of Green Bay. Because of low property taxes and fair housing prices, De Pere is one of the best areas in Wisconsin to own a home.

Some nearby attractions to De Pere are, of course, Green Bay, several country clubs and the Brown County fairgrounds. The weather in De Pere is comparable to the rest of Wisconsin and the Midwest. The winters are snowy and cold while the summers remain hot and humid. De Pere is located very close to Lake Michigan, so during the hot and humid summers a nice trip to the beach for some swimming is sure to cool you off. De Pere is conveniently located between the city and more rural country so it is easy to maintain a balance between the two.

Overall, De Pere is an excellent community with plentiful shopping and dining experiences available to everyone. It is also an excellent choice for those looking to raise a family. Read Less
