At first Covington Georgia was a nice place but now it’s turning into another Riverdale or Monroe the crime rate is extremely high. I find it crazy how they promote Covington as sweet and jolly, but in reality people are getting shot, robbed and beaten. If Im not mistaken it ha ...Read More
s been 10+ shootings in this year 2021 by it self, I really pray for this city and the youth in this city they are literally going around beaten, jumping, robbing and shooting other teens! Like two weeks ago a kid was arrested for a drive by shooting that took place in Covington ?? it’s very sad how this went from a good city to a dangerous city. The school system is horrible it’s like the schools aren’t even trying. And don’t even get me started on the police officers, 10-13 teens was arrested these past two months for petty crimes. It really really sad I really pray for this city, Covington Georgia is not even the same any more I wish they would tell the truth and stop fooling people makin them move down here

This county sucks. It is so small that you get ripped off by all of the utility company's. They overcharge the customers and do not provide alternative options for products or services. From the Newton County water to electric, you can only utilize one company and if that company ...Read More
sucks which they both do, you don't have any other options or alternatives available to you. Just to continue to pay into a company that refuses to give services that work with you. You would be better off to stay in a more rural area where they provide more options for you and competitive business practices.. You will get sucked into doing exactly what they tell you because you absolutely have NO OTHER CHOICE. The utility company’s know it, and they tell you that.

Covington is a great city to live in, especially for someone interested in the film industry. It's often called "The Hollywood of the South," and there is even a museum set up for people to see all the different films that have been made in the area. Gone With The Wind, anyone? I ...Read More
n addition, newer shows like Stranger Things, The Vampire Diaries, and The Walking Dead all have a presence in Covington, too!
The weather can be a bit unpredictable, but that's just part of living in Georgia. I never know whether to bring a raincoat or a jacket, but one thing I never worry about is snow. There are plenty of great restaurants in the area, and the presence of a college nearby brings a youthful feel to a town that otherwise has an Antebellum feel.
The people in Covington are friendly and welcoming, and you can be sure that all of the annual events in the city and the surrounding area will keep you entertained.
