Copperas Cove is an ok place to live. There are no attractions in the town to speak of, but Austin isn't too far away, along with some of the cool towns that dot the area (Lampasas, Salado, etc.) The nightlife is barely acceptable, by my estimate, there are 4 places to go have a drink; one of them is an Applebee's. That's ok though, Killeen has a few places down the road, and again, Austin. There are a few good resturants, Giovanni's is great. Killeen has al the resturants though. Cove is good if you just want to get out of the house or don't feel like cooking though. Shopping is lacking, but everything you need is there, Wal-mart, HEB (Grocery). Killeen has the mall and home improvement places. Traffic is not good though. Commutting in the mornings is terrible with the construction going on. Once the bypass is open things should be great, but who knows when that happens. Where Cove shines though is the community feel. People in Cove seem to be better looking, more polite, the streets are cleaner, and feels more like a town; as opposed to killeen, which feels more like a grouping of houses. If you are moving to the Killeen/Ft. Hood area, cove is better than Killeen, but don't move here for the excitement or the convienience.
