Living in College, Alaska User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) I loved living in College, Alaska when I was in college there at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. There's not much besides the University of Alaska Fairbanks in College, Alaska. It's a nice, quiet census designated place located adjacent to Fairbanks. There are a few campus ca ...Read More fes and the main attraction, the University of Alaska Fairbanks, is a pretty cool place to go to school. They have some pretty great biological sciences programs there.

The main attractions adjacent to College, Alaska are what keep the nightlife alive there. There are a few high end restaurants like The Marlin that showcase local Alaska seafood. The bars are good, and there are a couple great ones that have local beer. Life in Fairbanks isn't New York, but the local fish and game are amazing and the food can be really good.

Nearby Fairbanks has some really good shopping compared to other places in Alaska, but there are not as many high end boutiques here as there are in the Lower 48. Read Less
