Born and raised here, 0/5 wouldn't recommend User Rating 0.5 rating By Anonymous ( Feb 24, 2022) I was born and raised in Johnson County, Cleburne to be specific. I left for many reasons, there's hardly any meaningful work within the city. $8 to $12 dollars an hour ain't sufficient. There's one city park in town, with additional playgrounds at each grade school. At least hal ...Read More f the town is a dilapidated slum with spotty sidewalk coverage. To the town's credit, their downtown district has many walkable shops. There's a dog food factory outside of town, that'll come up later.

Since I left in 2020, my relatives report that the only city park is overrun with homeless people. Last time I was down there was in June of 2021. The downtown hasn't changed much, they've got some decent businesses. However the two main strips extending from downtown, Main street and Henderson street, are more desolate than usual. Cleburne: A Great Texas Suburb User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) I've been living in Cleburne over a year now and it's a very fun place to live. It's a small city and feels like one unless you want to drive a bit north to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. There is a Walmart Supercenter downtown and other grocery stores as well, but you will need you ...Read More r own car since there aren't any public transit options at all. If you have kids, you can check out the Imagination Station Children's Museum, it's a fun place.

There are a lot of younger people living around here and a lot of opportunities for work, whether you want something full-time or part-time. It's relatively affordable to live here too, so you can find a nice apartment or ranch style home for not a lot of money. There is also Lake Pat Cleburne if you want to get out on the water for some fishing or water skiing in the afternoon. It's the best area in Cleburne in my opinion. Read Less
