The town is 4 miles north of Germantown and 52 minutes west of Baltimore. The total area is 8.3 square miles. The town is named after trader John Clarke. Children can play in a number of parks, including Park Daniel, Little Bennett Campgrounds, Black Hill Regional Park and Ridge Road Dog Park. If you want good shopping, you can check out the Clarksburg Premium Outlets. It has 90 stores.
