The best area in Cheney is the downtown area, serving as a host to numerous community festivals, as well as the farmers market. Located just blocks from the EWU campus, the downtown area boasts a variety of dining and shopping options. Hikers and runners will delight in the nearby Columbia Plateau Trail and the Fish Lake Trail. In addition to its proximity to Spokane, Cheney is less than 45 minutes away from beautiful Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and its unmatched natural beauty nestled between mountains and a scenic lake.
