Living in Cape Canaveral is unlike any other areas of Florida. My neighborhood is a short walk from the launching pad at the Air Force Base, and it doesn't matter if it was the Space Shuttle or new satellites, we have a front row seat to all the excitement that is space launches.

The best areas in Cape Canaveral for me are all the incredible beaches in this area. Cape Canaveral is basically a barrier island with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Banana River on the other. I can go looking for seashells at Cocoa Beach, or go paddling down the river just about every day of the year.

On good days, I can be in Orlando in under a half hour, then take advantage of all their nightclubs and fine dining establishments. If I stay on the coast, I have Daytona Beach above me and Vero Beach below. My neighborhood is quiet and my days are never boring.
