Welcome Home to Calverton 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) Calverton is a very nice area that borders two counties in Maryland, Prince George's and Montgomery. It's a safe, family-oriented area with longtime residents. The cost of living in this area is a bit higher than average, but worth it. Montgomery county is the better of the two, so the best areas for families with children are on the Montgomery County side.

Although there's not much to do in general, and shopping and entertainment are scarce, there's plenty of options in neighbouring towns. A major connecting highway, Interstate 95, runs through the area. There aren't many jobs to be had either, so most residents have to commute a long way through traffic.

Living in Calverton may be boring for people that love action and being in the thick of things. There are some smaller shopping centers and businesses in the area, as well as major retailers like Target and Home Depot. Calverton is very suburban otherwise, catering to families with children. There's a huge park in the community with playgrounds, tennis courts, picnic areas and fields for sports. Read Less
