I have lived on the outskirts of Caldwell, Idaho for several years in the past when I was in college attending Boise State University. Caldwell is part of the Boise metropolitan area and is a very nice place to live overall. Crime rates are extremely low in this area and life ten ...Read More

Caldwell is a fairly small town that is next to the larger city Nampa, although the two cities pretty much blend together. There is not much major industry in the city and surrounding areas of Caldwell, although there is a thriving agricultural economy. The majority of residents in this area either work in shops and stores around the area, work on a farm, or commute about thirty minutes into the city of Boise. Many people prefer to live out in this general area due to the fact that it is much quieter and open the Boise is.
There is a lot to do in Caldwell if you enjoy being outdoors and exploring the wilderness. The Snake River runs through the area of Caldwell, which serves as the dividing line between Idaho and Oregon. There is amazing fishing and hunting in this area of the country and people come from all over to participate in both of these activities. There is great camping to be had all over this area and some of the most beautiful rock formations you've ever seen. There are a handful of spectacular waterfalls that are very close to Caldwell, as well as some amazing hiking routes. Overall Caldwell is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city and is a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
