A True Small Town Feel is What You Find In Brookside, DE 2 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) Thinking back of living in Brookside, DE I happened to glanace at the official city's activities page. It does list larger items such as the car show in nearby Newark, DE. What really defines the town though are the other items on the schedule. Those other items are birthday part ...Read More ies for children under 12 and a baby shower. These are not things you will find on a community calendar in nearby cities of Newark, DE or Dove, DE, let alone Philadelphia, PA.

All of those cities are within n approximate hour's drive of Brookside. Brookside, DE itself is centered around the residents of the town. This is reflected by the large number of citizen-owned businesses and restaurants. I'm not sure I ever ran into a chain restaurant while living in Brookside.

Brooks side is located very close to the University of Delaware ad has a large college student population. Homes tend to be most an single family units. Local community pools and clubhouses are the center of entertainment for many. Read Less
