I greatly enjoyed living in the Allston-Brighton neighborhood 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 06, 2014) I first moved to the Allston-Brighton neighborhood during my sophomore year of college at Boston College. The Allston-Brighton neighborhood is located between Everett and Gordon Street. I was first attracted to the area because it has a great nightlife, a huge number of college s ...Read More tudents, and because it gave me the opportunity to live in a full sized house. During my first two years of college I lived in a three bedroom house, and later moved into a great five bedroom hour for my last three years. I found that the houses I lived in to be exceptionally well priced for a major city. I also liked how they had culture, a backyard, and that they were well maintained. I also really liked that the entire area was in very good shape.

One of my favorite things about living in the Allston-Brighton area was how I could find everything I need in the area. The area several large grocery stores, and I also really liked that there were a ton of corner markets that I could pop in for things I need. I also really liked that I could purchase reasonably priced clothing items in the area. I liked that there were a number of boutique clothing stores that I could go shopping at on special occasions.

I also really liked that when I lived in Allston-Brighton I was able to enjoy an exceptionally fun bar scene. I really liked going to the Wonder Bar, and the Common Ground Bar. I found that the area had a ton of wonderful places to hangout, and there were always a large number of young people looking to have fun. I also really liked that on any given night I was able to have my choice of going to a bar that was going to have live music, or I could go to a place that offered me the chance to just have a couple of drinks with my friends.

The Allston-Brighton area also has a wonderful public transportation system. When I lived in the Allston-Brighton neighborhood, I was able to hop on a bus whenever I wanted to go downtown, and I was even able to take a number of different buses to a rail connection. I found that I could also walk around the area very easily, and I walked to school almost every day. Read Less
