Berkley, MI - Home of Motown and a Great Place to Live! User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Berkley, MI is well-known for its rich musical history. We have the Motown Historical Museum to share it with everyone. As a suburb of Detroit, people often get the wrong idea about our beautiful little town. This is a really good place to live, with a low crime rate, lots of job ...Read More s to be had, plenty of nice housing to go around, awesome weather, and great people. Our schools are great and have good graduation rates. Most anyone would love living here.

We have some really fun things to do. Close by is Detroit Kid City where there's tons of fun activities for kids of all ages (games, laser tag, etc) as well as the famous Detroit Zoo (one of my favorite places to visit) and for some adult time, the Motor City Brew Tours, which feature tours of the city and especially it's pubs and bars, via walking, bus or biking. Detroit provides some exciting nightlife and great restaurants. I've been living in Berkley all my life and I love it here. It is hands down one of the best areas in Michigan. Read Less
