Benton: A Little Off The Beaten Path User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) I lived in Benton for a little while but ultimately left for a city with more opportunities. Benton is about a half hour away from Little Rock and unless you're comfortable driving that distance regularly, you might feel limited in Benton. The jobs are what you'd expect in a small town, but buying a home or renting an apartment is fairly affordable.

The Military Plaza Shopping Center is probably the best area in Benton and is where most of the supermarkets and stores are located. There isn't any public transportation at all so you'll need your own vehicle to get around. However, there are a couple of movie theaters in Benton so there are some options available for entertainment. Other than that though, you may need to hit the road for Little Rock. Read Less
