I live in Belmont, CA and I really enjoy this progressive city. Home to Oracle, many residents of Belmont work there. Belmont has great parks and one of the few surviving buildings of from the Panama-Pacific exposition from the beginning of the 20th century.

Belmont has been in front in the move to end smoking. It has one of the strickest smoking bans in the nation. It is home to Notre Dame de Nemous University, which is a private school that was the first in California to award degrees to women.

Many of Belmont's population are single adults, and the city has festivals and arts shows the year round. Located in San Mateo County, Belmont is also near the home of Electronic Arts in Redwood City. Many of the city's residents work in the tech industry.

Situated beneath a mountain, Belmont has lots of hiking trails and campsites. Children like to spend the summer attending various camps in the area. Shopping is amply available at the Standford Shopping Center, and a variety of clubs and restaurants provide a great night life.
