It's a great place to live if you're raising a family and want a quieter pace of life, but it's mediocre if you're on the younger side. The restaurants are mediocre and there are way too many junk fast food places to count. The entertainment options are low and you have to travel 45+ minutes to Pittsburgh to get any form of "entertainment". The unemployment rate is embarrassingly high and it's next to impossible to find any sort of job, let alone a decent one. Low diversity is also an issue too. It's like most small towns, very sleepy and not much going on.

There's a shopping plaza with grocery sto ...Read More res, tons of restaurants and fast food places (none of which are amazing), and a few specialty stores. You need a car to really get anywhere and there aren't any real entertainment or good food options, for which you have to go to Pittsburgh to get. It's like any typical small town. It's very sleepy and there isn't much to do. The unemployment rate is high and it's difficult to find a job here, let alone a good one. It comes as no suprise that most young people leave to find actual good jobs.

Belle Vernon isn't terrible a place to live, but the opportunities are simply not there for younger people. That and entertainment/food options are horrendous. Read Less
