Southern Living and Small Town Life in Bartow, Florida User Rating 5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) Living in Bartow, Florida is like surrounding yourself with southern charm and classic southern hospitality. I love living in Bartow for this very reason. Even though at times there are thunderstorms in the early afternoon, the mild winters attracted me more than anything. There are quite a few historic landmarks to visit and since I love walking and seeing history, for me this is the perfect place to live.

Working in Bartow is easy since the unemployment rate is eleven percent lower than the national average. There are quite a bit of government jobs here in Bartow. Checking with the Polk County school system, which holds over twelve thousand jobs or the Department of Transportation located in Bartow are just a few of the big employers here.

There are so many things to do living in Bartow from sports events in its many parks to outdoor festivals that started many years ago. There is always something to do in Bartow! Read Less
