comfortable city to live User Rating 5 rating By Anonymous ( Oct 12, 2021) My wife and I moved to Barnwell SC two years ago. We have never regretted for one minute moving here. The city is quiet and friendly. There is always a kind individual either to give you advice or help. There are many parks and churches. A definite good place to raise a family. T ...Read More here is a lot of History here. There are many families that have stayed in the community. A hidden gem you might call it. There is a large lake to fish for those interested in fishing. and also a state Park. Shopping is OK, although we are hoping in time to get more Grocery stores open and dining. The living expenses are low and the community is continently trying to strive to improve. The roads are great so travel is good with minimal traffic. A short commute to Aiken or Augusta. Look a great place to live. Read Less

There are plenty of places to eat. We are hoping for more grocery stores and a hospital wou ...Read More ld be a welcome addition. There is a state park within 3 miles and plenty of city parks. A museum and library is great. A new police station and is within 30 miles to any major shopping needs. All government offices are well staffed and very friendly. A caring community that offers a secure way of life and is great for any growing family. The area has a lot of history and the future looks even better. It is a joy to live here reside in this loving community. Future looks good. Read Less
