Close to the City That Never Sleeps! User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) Although I work in Manhattan, I can't afford the prices of apartments there. Luckily I discovered Avenel New Jersey right across the bridge and tucked away from all the action. Living in Avenel gives me the chance to enjoy all the best of the big city, but then I come home to my ...Read More little neighborhood and disappear.

The best areas in Avenel are food related for me. I have found countless little Italian restaurants around here that are better than the next. Then you have the diners that serve the best pork roll and cheese sandwiches day or night. Regardless your taste in food, there are a number of restaurants around Avenel that will satisfy even the pickiest eaters.

I love being able to leave my neighborhood and hop on the Garden State Parkway and be to Atlantic City, countless beaches along the Jersey Shore, or Staten Island in under a half hour. The Garden State has so much to offer that I always have something to do each week. Read Less
