Austin, MN: Very Affordable Midwest Living 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) Austin might be a little off the beaten path, but it is a nice small city that has a fair amount that it can offer its residents. It's quite affordable to buy a home here, even though there might not be a plethora of jobs available. When it comes to shopping, there is a large sho ...Read More pping center that includes a Walmart. For a city of its size, Austin has a surprisingly comprehensive bus system that can get you to most areas of the city.

There are some great places to enjoy nature here too. Lafayette Park is one of the best areas in Austin and a relaxing place to take your dog or have a picnic with your partner. Austin is well suited for people that are looking to settle down; people that don't necessarily need the fast-paced lifestyle that a large city will give you. It's a quiet city that will certainly treat you very well. Read Less
