Ashland Continues to Expand User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) My family and I have been living in Ashland California for the last 2 years and have watched the area continue to grow and expand its diverse culture throughout the last couple years. There is not a lot of nightlife in Ashland; however, you have a lot of restaurants, shops and ot ...Read More her, conveniences that you would find in bigger cities. Ashland has a lot of fast food restaurants, but not a lot of smaller chain unique restaurants to choose from. You have all the main shopping spots such as Wal-Mart and other regional grocery chains that provide ample opportunities for families to purchase the items that they need without traveling too far. One of the best areas in Ashland to live is near the Old Creek Dog Park.

The crime in the city has been an issue but communities have banded together to provide neighborhood watch groups that offset these negative effects. The schools here are decent but there are also opportunities for this to be improved. In the long run, Ashland is a good place to live and through some expansion and improvement of various parts of the city, it can become a great place to live. Read Less
