A Couple Of Negatives, But Overall Not Bad For A Couple or Single Adult 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) Living in Artesia, NM is okay depending on what you’re looking for. Our crime rate is atrocious considering we pay something to live here. A good education is slim to none. We have 10 public schools to choose from and each test score average is just as bad as the next school. S ...Read More o, if you plan on bringing a family or raising one here you might want to look around for better education opportunities in nearby towns and cities.

Beyond that, housing is okay dependent on if you’re looking to own or renting. Renting is average, but you must include amenities and other utility bills on top of that that usually aren’t included in rent around here unless the rent is $2500. However, if you are paying for amenities the price is decent and there’s a lot of reliable options around the area to take care of your garbage, your lawn, and more. Cost of living here could be a little lower considering what we put up with, but employment opportunities pretty much match with it. Read Less
