Anacortes, WA: You Should Be Here! 5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Anacortes is a lovely city in Skagit County, Washington, located on Fidalgo Island. This beautiful city is situated halfway between Vancouver BC and Seattle. This is a very small city, Living in Anacortes allows for easy access to the surrounding outdoors. I often take hikes, and ...Read More head to the island's beaches where I can relax and enjoy peace and quiet in a natural setting. After living in the big city, I decided that a place like Anacortes suits my lifestyle perfectly.

The best areas in Anacortes to hike are all along the coast where one can view spectacular sunsets, and see the various species of fowl and animals that call the island their home. The local restaurants serve high quality, sustainably sourced food that tastes delicious and always keep me coming back for more. There are many places to grab a hot beverage as well, all of them being relatively close to home. I find one of the best parts of living here in Anacortes to be the surrounding community. People are wonderful! When I first moved here I was immediately welcomed, and I've grown to love my neighbours! Read Less
