Aloha From ... Oregon??? 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 17, 2015) I lived in Aloha, Oregon for quite a few years. I recently returned to Aloha to find parts that I remembered with a great fondness had turned into the biggest nightmare. They had become filthy and rundown, crime has gone through the roof. I am all for diversity, but when my belov ...Read More ed neighborhood had turned into a ghetto, it was quite shocking. Don't get me wrong parts of Aloha are still nice you just have to know where to look to find them. Tannasbourne is on the edge of Aloha is a great area for a family and the schools are not too bad. Most of the schools around Aloha, Beaverton and Hillsboro are all the same, they are average at best. Cooper Mountain is another area of Aloha that is not too bad. As long as you stay on the outskirts of Aloha you are fine. The city itself has really gone downhill and is full of gang violence.

If you love golfing Aloha has two of the best courses called The Reserve and The Cupp. It's also like any other small suburb, you're close to the bars and some of the best are Hop wash and the Underground. If you have a family there is always mini golf at Tualatin Island Greens or Pump It Up, or even bowling at Sunset lanes. One of the best parks in Aloha for kids to work off energy is Butternut Park. Probably one of the best places to visit for anyone that loves architecture is the Gordon house which was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It's definitely a great day out in my opinion.

Aloha has some of the best restaurants as well. I love Sabor Salvadoreno and Peppermill. Aloha has a little bit of everything for everyone, from pizza to sushi. The food is definitely one of the best things about Aloha. Read Less
