The crime here is high, which is one of the bigger issues with living in West Memphis. If you don't need to go shopping a lot and you don't eat out at restaurants much either, you'll probably have what you need in West Memphis without having to go far. It has the basics but that's mostly it.
You'll probably be better off getting a job in Memphis and living here in West Memphis. There aren't too many great jobs unless you're in the bigger city, so commuting is easier. For what it costs to live in West Memphis, it isn't too bad.
