I lived in Tahlequah from a young age till I was about 20 when I married and moved away with my husband.
From the outside Tahlequah is a cute small town. There aren't a lot of things to do, but it is growing and having the college there really helps.

vents if you're into that, and golf is pretty big there too. The main attraction of Tahlequah is that it is the Indian capital and the floatin'. The river that is.
There is only one public high school and it's not that great. They have teachers there that couldn't really care less about the students or teaching them. There are a lot of drugs that get passed around and it is really easy for high school aged kids to get pulled into the wrong crowd.
I would say if you are looking for a place to retire of a college town then this is a great place for you. But not really great for families.
