Shelbyville, IN.: Country Life 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) My family has lived in Shelbyville, Indiana for years. To love Shelbyville means you are most likely someone who loves the peace and quiet of the country. Living in the country definitely has its pros and cons.

The great thing about living in the country is the quiet home life. ...Read More There's lots of land and the people in Shelbyville are absolutely wonderful. It's one of the best places to be at in the Fall. There's no where like the country when it comes to hayrides, haunted stories, and the beautiful nature of leaves changing, pumpkin patches, apple orchards, and more.

The cons of living in Shelbyville, like most country areas, is the distance from stores, restaurants, attractions, etc. If you live in Shelbyville, you might decide to travel 25 minutes or so to downtown Franklin, Indiana to visit their stores. However, Franklin its self isn't a bad place having historic shops, restaurants, parades, festivities, and more.

At the end of the day, Shelbyville, Indiana is considered a wonderful home for those who enjoy space, distance, and the quiet. Read Less
