Life in Platteville, WI is Pleasant and Enjoyable 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) Life in Platteville, WI is a wonderful experience all around. The people living in Platteville are down-to-earth, friendly folks who are proud of the great place they can call home. We have fantastic schools here. Jobs can be found easily. Beautiful neighborhoods have nice homes ...Read More available. Whereas crime is becoming a real problem in most places these days, here in Plattesville we really don't have too much of an issue with it. It's a peaceful place with amazing people.

We may not have anything super fancy by way of entertainment or nightlife, but we do have a few things to do around here for fun. One of my favorites is the Crystal Lake Cove tours. There's also the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium, Cave of the Mounds, Rountree Galleries, and the Harry and Laura Nohr Gallery. There are many charming little shops and cafes as well so you can enjoy some Saturday afternoon window shopping and stop for a bite to eat. Read Less
