Small Town, Quiet 4 rating By Anonymous ( Jan 26, 2019) If you're looking for a small, quiet town, Pickens is one option. I lived there almost four years and only recently moved due to my job. You've got the ease of small town life but the convenience of larger ones nearby. You've got your typical chain restaurants but there are a few ...Read More locally owned options as well. While this site gave the crime rate an F, I feel like that is a bit misleading. Most of the crime in Pickens seems to be petty crime. Not a lot of murder and such. Not much in the way of attractions other than being close to Table Rock and Lake Keowee. There are maybe 2-3 bars. You have your basic shopping needs met. Overall, I'd live in Pickens again.
