Nanakuli has its ups and downs. After living there for several years, I can't say I'd love to stay there.

Also, Nanakuli has a higher crime rate than the rest of Hawaii, and there are few public schools. The public schools that are here are not very good, and graduation rates tend to be incredibly low.
Despite all this, Nanakuli does have some upsides. It's shopping and restaurants are fine, if a little below average. The biggest thing Nanakuli has going for itself is that it's right on the beach. That means you can always be swimming, relaxing, or enjoying water sports. There are also a few amazing hikes you can go on, if that's your thing. Plus, if you're moving to Hawaii, how bad can it be?
