Metlakatla is an awesome town if you have a family. Come here for a fresh start. You want nature, there is nature. You want beaches, there are beaches. You want lots of mountains to climb, you better believe that there are going to be mountains. Awesome little island village. ...Read More

Metlakatla is a great town. It is small and laid back, but big and has amenities. A post office, a store, a convenience market, a hardware store, and a twice daily barge to Ketchikan. Everything you need if you are the type of person who likes a "city" feel, but a "village" vibe. ...Read More

Metlakatla is actually a pretty nice place to live in. It's got the small-town feel while having most of the things you need right down the street. It is very rainy, but if that doesn't bother you, then I don't know what will. Could use a restaurant though. ...Read More

can only own land there and vote if you are a Native, meaning that you are Part of the tribe. 2. You are never welcome in that town. You are always an outsider. 3. The kids are jerky, boring, fat, and very secluded. 4. It is too rainy there. Its wet, and damp all year round. Especially in the winter. 5. No Ameneties. Like restaurants and things to eat? Well, forget it if you live there. The closest thing there is to a restaurant is a convenience store. 6. The education is a joke.Thank you for reading this. I hope this will give you an insight on Metlakatla.
