The last person who reviewed this town on here must live in another Martinsville in another state. This is the most boring, dullest, town that I have ever seen. Nothing to do here at all. Half of the residents are not too intelligent and they will get into your business. And if t ...Read More
hey're bored, they will invent lies on you if you're not careful. Crackheads run rampant all around the town, crime rate is high along with unemployment. And don't even think about trying to date somebody here, STI's are rampant and more than likely somebody you're dating has been with somebody you know. If you are lucky enough to have a relationship with someone, they usually don't have any standards (meaning you may be a one night stand and they're going after someone who ain't about anything). Anybody that says that they like this town usually doesn't have much of a life. Mental illness is at an all time high (understandably see why). If you're looking for action or even so much a laid back place to live, for God's sake DO NOT COME TO MARTINSVILLE, VA!!! You will definitely regret that decision!

My time spent living here in Martinsville, Virginia has been very welcoming and it feels just like home. When I first moved here from New Jersey, I expected a country welcome because of my initial thoughts about the South. Boy, was I surprised when I finally saw how quaint, yet w ...Read More
holesome a community like Martinsville is.
In order to fully appreciate the beauty of the wonderful city, you have to take a ride along Commonwealth Blvd. I recommend stopping by the Community Market while you're there, and it can be found right on Fayette Street. There you will find some of the freshest fruits and veggies grown by local farmers.
There is plenty to do here in the city limits, and the best part is that if you have to leave to find what you need, the city of Lynchburg, VA is just a short drive up US 29 North. I love the low home prices, and I've never felt safer living somewhere until I moved to Martinsville. I recommend a visit for anyone seeking a new place to call home, you won't be disappointed!
