I lived in Hollins when I went to college there. It is a suburb of Roanoke, Va. and a beautiful place to live. Everything you would need, as far as shopping, is near as well as the Roanoke Airport. Located near US-81 highway, there is easy access for traveling. Hollins College is ...Read More
a major feature of the area. It offers special events that are of high quality, and most are open to the public.
Spring is lovely here, and the weather is mildly seasonal. The cost of living is affordable as well as the real estate. Though the neighborhoods here are pretty quiet, Roanoke offers a nightlife that is close by. The schools have a good ranking and the college offers a great liberal arts program. This is a low crime area which makes it great for families. There are some locally owned restaurants that offer unique menus that cater to health-conscious and vegan tastes. I loved this area nestled in the mountains of Virginia.
