I grew up in.
Crime was never really an issue as some of the best areas in Forest Lake are situated off of I35. This is where you can find Lilac Park with scenic views of Mud Lake and Clear Lake to the east. From licensed daycare centers to shopping centers and restaurants, everything that you are looking for can be found near West Broadway Ave.
Growing up in Forest Lake meant that school was of the utmost importance, and currently things are looking more towards an upward trend in terms of performance. As an educator, such high graduation rates and overall good living has allowed me to call my years at Forest Lake very pleasant in terms of overall well being.
