Darnestown is a great community to live in. Yes, I mean community, not town. Darnestown doesn't have a downtown area, besides a little intersection with a few local stores. The area does have some great neighborhoods and is close to the Potomac River, so it has a lot of recreatio ...Read More
nal options. It is in proximity to Washington D.C. and is not too far from Baltimore, so you can commute to either of these, though if you are working in Baltimore there are some better places that are closer. Darnestown is an outer suburb of D.C., about a 45 minute drive to be exact. The schools are really good here too. Very safe area as well. There is not a lot inside the town's borders, but it is less than 20 minutes from Germantown, Gaithersburg, Poolesville, and parts of Rockville, which all have much to offer. This is also a great place for families because the schools and neighborhoods are great. It is not very diverse, but nearby Gaithersburg and Rockville are. Darnestown is north of the very wealthy town of Potomac. It is a great place to live!

stown itself is mainly luxury homes with amazing property, but it's a very convenient location, being just minutes away from other towns with many shops and stores like Germantown, Gaithersburg, Potomac, and Rockville. The schools are some of the best in the country and there is so much for the kids to do, like summer swim, and the Darnestown sports teams that play other towns!

Darnestown is a very rich place to live. Many houses for sale are well above one million. Each home in Darnestown has much land, as well. This is because most homes in Darnestown have septic tanks. Even though Darnestown is in a quiet setting tucked in rich land, it is very close ...Read More
to shops, and around an hour from Washington D.C. Darnestown has two elementary schools, and no middle or high schools. The two elementary schools are Darnestown Elementary, and Jones Lane Elemenatary. Darnestown is a great place to live, and I recommend that if you are moving to the Area, Darnestown is a great option. Even though the amenities are an F, it is because there are not shops inside Darnestown, but many shops just a mile or two.
