I have lived in Broussard, LA, a LaFayette parish about 15 minutes south of LaFayette, for 4 years now. I moved here from Atlanta, GA and I love it here. The schools have high ratings so if you have children this is something to consider. I will say that the cost of living is a b ...Read More
it higher here but good jobs are plentiful.
The crime rate is not non-existent, but it’s on the low end compared to some other areas in Louisiana. I’m not big on nightlife but my niece and some friends came to visit not long ago and really enjoyed Walk-On’s Bistreaux and Bar.
I really enjoy the summer weather here and there is no shortage of things to do. There are quite a few parks. Elevation Station is in one of the best areas of Broussard and is great for staying active on rainy days or in the cooler months. Living in Broussard has been one of my best decisions.
