t on the west-side in the Portland Metropolitan area. There's also many glorious restaurants to eat at in Beaverton, as well as movie theaters, bowling alleys, and skiing at Mt. Hood and beaches - both just over an hour away. But, be prepared to wait in line or be stuck in traffic during weekends and rush hour in Beaverton, since this town is known for it's divine and well planned out neighborhoods -- which mean it's an overly populated area.
If you wanted to chill and relax by the river while viewing the beautiful green trees and having a picnic lunch with your family or significant other, there's over 200 parks in a 30 mile span with approximately 1600 acres total. Plenty of room to enjoy the scenery and breath in some fresh air! Bring a jacket or umbrella in case, since we're known for our unpredictable weather, even in the summer. Overall Beaverton is a great place to live and is a nice change of pace, if you live in a major city with tons of night life. It's beautiful here and I wouldn't change it for anything!
