Winter Garden Is The Place For Summer Visits. 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 26, 2018) If you like farmer’s markets, you will love living in Winter Garden. The famous Saturday market is housed in the Downtown Pavilion and has a Splash Park for kids. Situated at the edge of Lake Apopka, there is fishing or the opportunity to see wildlife and birds in their natural ...Read More habitat. Being in the 50+ age group, there are plenty of activities to keep me fit at the YMCA, which has programs in athletics and aquatics for all ages. The renovated Garden Theatre still has its original ticket booth and historic downtown boasts many great restaurants.

One of the best areas in Winter Garden is “The Village” at Fowler’s Grove, a shopping experience you won’t forget. The parking system is atrocious, but I love walking the redbrick paving in this unique village, with stores like Victoria’s Secret and Chico’s, and reading the historic plaques of once famous residents. Although I live only 20 minutes west of Orlando, I seldom go there because I every facility I need right here. Read Less
