Better than Cleveland and still on the Lake! 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) Willoughby, Ohio is a far northeastern suburb of Cleveland. It is a popular suburb in the Cleveland area because it boasts a safe community with a great police presence, an excellent public school system, wonderful dining and shopping options, and it is conveniently located near ...Read More the city of Cleveland for those who need more urban conveniences.

Willoughby is one of the best areas in the Cleveland region to buy a home. The property taxes are reasonable and the housing market is competitive. Willoughby has arguably the best nightlife of all the northeast suburbs of Cleveland and has plentiful shopping options at the Willoughby Commons mall.

The weather in Willoughby is comparable to the rest of the Ohio and Midwest region with cold (sometimes frigid) winters, and very hot and humid summers. However, being that Willoughby is so close to Lake Erie (a few minutes drive) it isn't hard to head to the beach and cool off during the hot summer months.

Overall, Willoughby is a great choice for families and single people alike looking to start off their lives in a great suburb in a competitive housing market. Read Less
