Living in West Babylon User Rating 3 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 12, 2015) I live in West Babylon, NY. I have lived here my entire life and if I had to choose any word to describe my city it would be "average". There is nothing amazing about West Babylon, but there is also nothing deplorable about it. The community is one of the better things, we all lo ...Read More ok out for each other and do our best to make the neighborhoods safe, but that doesn't mean there aren't arrests and criminals out there. I have never had my house broken into, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen once in a blue moon. i trust our local police officers. They are friendly and well organised. I don't feel I have to worry about my child. My son goes to a decent school is very secure which also boasted a 90% graduation rate, which makes me happy.

I wouldn't say that there are many attractions here, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything to do. There are tons of bars and restaurants that are open late that cater to adults, but if you are underage the most fun you can have is at one of the local malls, or outside hiking, fishing, hunting, or boating. Luckily for my boy and I, we love hunting, so we always have a lot to do during our free time. It is a real bonding experience. The parks are beautiful, we have a lot of rangers and volunteers that make sure trash is picked up and that the wildlife is taken care of. their effort really help make West Babylon a more beautiful place. I like my life here, but if I had all the money in the world I would give West Babylon a huge update. Read Less
