Shopping for food and clothing in Webster is good, shopping for anything else, you will have to drive out of town to find. Extremely few mom and pop type stores, the chain store have moved in which is a shame (but that is with many communities).

Traffic on route 401 is terrible at best unless you want to wait till night fall or extremely early in the morning , the road is a two lane road that should be a five lane, traffic lights are not coordinated with each other to keep traffic flowing.

Two big high schools and middle schools, all one school district but a rivalry between each other. however after dealing with the administrators and faculty, I believe they have the children's best interest in mind, yes I have and would send my children to this school district.

Lots of places to live, own or rent, but based on the average income in the area the pricing is too high and the taxes are ridiculous.

All in all, if your wanting to live in New York State, Webster is a good little town which is close to a major city (Rochester), if you are just looking for a good place to live in this country, I would recommend looking outside of New York State, property taxes will be much cheeper. Read Less
