Waxhaw, Great Border Life Outside Of Rock Hill And Monroe 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) Waxhaw, NC is beautiful railroad town with graceful greenery. I could talk all day about the taxes, businesses, traffic, or weather in the area, but if you want to know about the gentle and serene scenes of Waxhaw, head for any railroad trestle.

The best areas in Waxhaw are ei ...Read More ther downtown on W South Main Street on the restaurant strip with the library, or the north side of town near the Old Hickory Shopping Center. Either direction will give you some nice restaurants and shops.

If you're interested in living in Waxhaw and looking for a nice set of home options, you absolutely need to check out the south side of town with South Providence School, Waxhaw Elementary School, and the Museum of Waxhaw area for families. If you want to enjoy the nightlife, stick to any roads that have access to Rock Hill, SC and Monroe, NC.

If you're downtown, getting on Main Street and heading west will take you into South Carolina and onto 521, where you can access Rock Hill. There's unfortunately no straight shot road to Rock Hill over the Catawba (yet? Anymore? I feel like there was an old bridge), but Rock Hill is just 30 minutes away if you head north or south on highway 5 or highway 160. Read Less
