Waukee, IA: The Only Bad Thing Here is the Weather User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) If you are considering living in Waukee, IA you gotta know up front, the weather here can get pretty evil sometimes! We have our fair share of tornado activity, but if you are adventurous and know how to ride out a storm, this is definitely one of the best areas in Iowa to call h ...Read More ome! We have awesome schools, amazing people who make everyone feel right at home here, some pretty good restaurants and shopping, and nice homes can be found as well as good jobs.

We do have some things to do for fun also. Since we're close to Des Moines there's always some great things going on. There's Pinot's Palette which offers art classes and special event services. There's Broheim's Indoor Golf and Pub, Kris' Hot Yoga (more stuff for you adventurous types. I'm far too lazy for that!)and the Old School Pinball Arcade (now you're talkin'! Way more my style!), and the awesome MB2 Raceway, for racing, go-karts, and all that good stuff. Read Less
