Wantagh is often called the bridge to Jones Beach and this is one of the major benefits of living here. Simply take a ten minute drive down Wantagh parkway and you are at Jones Beach, one of the premier beaches. This is one of the many benefits of living in the town.

, much of Wantagh is right on the ocean, with Canals in your backyard providing access to the ocean. In addition there are great parks in the town beginning with Cedar Creek town and Wantagh park, which has a great pool for families and children.
While there are some restaurants in the town, the nightlife and restaurants aren't why you live in the town. However, Mulcahey's has some great bands playing in the bar and a wide variety of beers and drinks to enjoy. You can take a quick train into Manhattan and most people will commute into the city to work.
Still, Wantagh is a great town to live and work in and has a full host of amenities.
