Vermillion, SD: History and Beautiful Scenery Welcome Everyone User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) I am proud to say that I live in such a wonderful community as Vermillion, South Dakota. I have been living in Vermillion since I was a young girl, around 13 years old, and I am pushing 50 now. I have always felt that this is one of the best areas in the entire state. The scenery ...Read More , the sunsets, nature itself is simply indescribable here. You have to experience it for yourself to believe that anything can be so breathtaking. Our little community couldn't be any better, filled with amazing people who love this place as much as I do. Everyone who calls Vermillion home takes a great deal of pride in our beautiful town and everyone is happy here.


We have a few other attractions besides the natural beauty of the place when we want to get out and about for a bit. There's The National Music Museum, Spirit Mound Historic Prairie, Lumo Studios and Gallery, and the Oscar Howe Gallery, along with many charming shops, cafes, and restaurants to enjoy. Come and visit, come and stay awhile, come and stay. It just doesn't get any better than Vermillion. Read Less
